I was thrilled to be able to get a shot of this Utah bull moose out in the wild. He was feeding in the middle of the day. He had lots of green grass and vegetation to eat, so he was very content!

The size and growth rate of antlers is determined by diet and age; symmetry reflects health.[17] Size and symmetry in the number of antler points signals bull moose quality; cows may select mates based on antler size and symmetry.[18] Bull moose use dominant displays of antlers to discourage competition and will spar or fight rivals.[17]
