I captured this beautiful Blue Morpho butterfly at the Scottsdale Arizona butterfly conservatory last year. This conservatory I was told, is one of the largest ones of it's kind in the US.
It was a real thrill to be there and to see many exotic butterflies from around the world. :-)

Wow, that is amazing. I've never seen a Blue Morpho as I don't think they live around here, but I've heard that the are difficult to capture with both wings open and that the other side is just a sort of camouflage that looks like little stones. Beautiful composition with the diagonal of the branch that gently bends at the end. Beautiful shot!
