Description
This is an overlook view of the little German town of Cochem, located on the Rhine River in Germany. This image was taken from the famous Cochem Castle, one of the most well know, and largest castles along the Rhine.
From Wikipedia:
Cochem lies at an elevation of some 83 m above sea level and the municipal area measures 21.2 km2.[3] The town centre with the outlying centre of Sehl upstream lies on the Moselle's left bank, while the constituent centre of Cond lies on its right. A further constituent centre, Brauheck, with its commercial area, air force barracks and new town development, lies in the heights of the Eifel on Bundesstraße 259, some 2 km (1 mi) from the town centre. Emptying into the Moselle in Cochem are the Kraklebach, the Ebernacher Bach, the Sehlerbach, the Falzbach, the Märtscheltbach and the Enthetbach.

Awesome composition and point of view of this scenic Germany capture, Nick! I love it! I wish I would have taken one like this when I was in Germany! Of course I was traveling with people that did not want to stop and take photos of hardly anything. I would love to go back and take more of the countryside! l/f

Thank you Kathy for the nice comment, and maybe you will get a chance to go back to Germany sometime and be able to photograph various sites more. I will tell you, if you are interested in river cruises through Europe, I would highly recommend Viking River Cruises. They are awesome, and they take lots of time for the photographers on board to capture images! I was on one of their cruises when I got this shot. This one was taken at the Cochem castle overlooking the Rhine River. We were touring the inside of that castle at the time.
