This modest series of ledges is the final major waterfall along McDowell Creek as it meanders towards the South Santiam River. The falls consist of three 5 to 10 foot ledges, only two of which can be easily seen, totaling about 20 feet. The first two drops, shown above, stand about 15 feet together, but the final 5 foot ledge can't be seen without being in the creek itself (largely because private property butts up against the park land). The uppermost tier can be enjoyed easily, but the middle drop is a little more difficult to view unobstructed. I wouldn't recommend spending too much time here anyway; the three other falls in the park are more interesting to the average person. Photographers and waterfall hunters will likely find this drop more interesting.
